Introduction

Hello,

My name is Bill Harris and I'm the incoming Area "C-33" Governor for the upcoming Toastmaster Year. I started in Toastmasters in 1999 with Capitol Club 422 when I was looking for a job. I found work with state government unfortunately I cold not find time to continue one. Ten years later I was offered an opportunity to join the Toastmasters club at my current workplace the Department of Labor and Industries. Since then I joined another state agency club , Plain Talkers which meet at the Department of Health. Currently, I'm the outgoing President of Tumwater Talkers Toastmaster's Club and I was the Sargent-of -Arms the year prior. I will also be the Vice-President of Education for both clubs which means I will be responsible for the care and well being of seven clubs. My goal this year is to have all of the clubs in Area 33 to succeed ,prosperous, and be distinguished in the upcoming Toastmaster year. I will be using this blog to pass on info and to recognize the clubs and members in Area 33. We will have to wait until after the convention until our district governor Bill Mansfield will release his vision statement. Until then my vision for the Area is "Remember the Member." Many of us have heard this many times last year and it still rings true. If we keep the member in mind in what we all do as officers every thing else will work its way out. I'm looking for spirited competition and cooperation among the clubs for the next year. I wish all of us success
